Rock Climbing Class - Sunday, September 21st

(ongoing classes March - September)

Our introduction course will get you outside climbing on beautiful southern sandstone. On this day trip you will climb (top-rope), and learn basic climbing techniques. This is an introduction to the basics of technical rock climbing, including equipment and safety procedures. Our next intro trip goes to Hurricane Creek, AL or Sandrock (Cherokee Village). Our minimum age is 13. Under age 18, children climbing must be accompanied by a parent.

Cost: $55 per person
What to bring: Our classes last the full day. This means you need to be prepared to be outside and away from modern conveniences for the full day. Here are some suggestions:

• Good comfortable shoes for hiking
• Plenty of water Lunch, and some snacks
• Camera
• Bug Repellant
• Sun Block
• Rain jacket (just in case)

We meet at Mountain High Outfitters (Cahaba Village/ Hwy 280) or Mountain High Bridge Street in Huntsville at 7:30am the morning of the trip. You’ll need to provide your own transportation for the drive to the climbing area. Harnesses and helmets will be provided along with a limited size range of rental climbing shoes. We can custom fit you in the store for boots, and any climbing equipment.
